The PKGBUILD does not include '-D WITH-CYCLES-EMBREE' option for compiling blender. It may accelerate a lot CPU rendering.

Ok, though I wonder why it's not turned on in the official build in blender_releaes.cmake? We always follow official options for blender releases.

Compiling with embree actually fails right now and it doesn't seem to be getting much love from upstream. I'm skeptical about this. It also was a GSoC project only and it seems it has no active maintainer at the moment.

I decided against this until blender upstream makes this the default as well. I don't want to make our blender too different from upstream blender and this would be a very significant difference as it essentially replaces the core parts of the CPU rendering part.

Feel free to reopen when upstream makes this default or adds better support.
