Details

Description:

Launching Inkscape causes the application to be immediately terminated. The application displays a graphical message saying:
"Inkscape encountered an internal error and will close now."

Reproducible on Arch linux updated to 2019-09-16 11:23:07.

Output from launching the application from terminal:

$ inkscape
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'Gdk::PixbufError'

I've just updated and can see no such thing: Inkscape works just as expected here.
Can you reproduce this with an empty user profile? Remove: ~/.config/inkscape/ and ~/.cache/inkscape/
Can you confirm that your system is fully up-to-date? Run: `pacman -Syu`
Have you installed any package from outside the official repositories which may interfere with Inkscape? Some weird version of gtk?

I confirm the issue is local on my machine. There was a corrupted file in ~/.config/inkscape.
Please mark as INVALID, sorry for wasting your time.
