I'm using latest versions of all packages, but this bug existed for some time already.
Maybe this can be because I use Testing?

Hmm, I can't reproduce this on my system with testing. Could you try to generate a backtrace?

- add -g to CFLAGS in /etc/makepkg.conf
- rebuild package with "makepkg -n"
- install package
- run it from gdb
- when it crashes, please supply output from "bt" and "bt full"

This happened because of a bug in an earlier GTK+ version (2.10.7 I think?) when line numbers were enabled in mousepad. But if you're up to date with packages, then this shouldn't be a problem any longer..

Re-opened per this request by Ravi (ravster):
I am having the same bug with gtk 1.2.10-7, gtk2 2.10.12-1 and mousepad 0.2.12-3. I am using this on my testing system, with all packages updated. I tried using the 'makepkg -n' command but an error message saying "Invalid option" popped up. I tried running 'makepkg -L' and the build process stopped at config.status: executing default-1 commands PKGBUILD: line 22: --libexecdir=/usr/lib/xfce4: No such file or directory The /usr/lib/xfce4 directory exists and its permissions are drwxr-xr-x 9 root root 4096 2007-05-06 19:42 xfce4

As for my issue at the time when I opened this report - I solved it later by simply deleting mousepad's config directory. :)

Ravi: make sure you use a correct PKGBUILD, it seems fine here. Also, try removing mousepad's configs.

Romashka: Deleting ~/.config/mousepad/mousepadrc worked perfectly.
Thanks for the fix.
