DetailsDescription:
RabbitMQ fails to install correctly. Plugins also fail to enable. /usr/lib/rabbitmq/bin/rabbitmq-script-wrapper from upstream contains 3 placeholders @RABBITMQ_USER@, @RABBITMQ_GROUP@ and @STDOUT_STDERR_REDIRECTION@ which are replaced via sed in other distro's packages. https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server-release/blob/v3.7.x/scripts/rabbitmq-script-wrapper#L48 https://github.com/rabbitmq/rabbitmq-server-release/pull/86/commits/ad99cb2524ebc5750a13c3c12203390926f7b5cb#diff-6d40e15a00ae78ad694619969f3cfffb Attached is a patch that can be used in the prepare step of PKGBUILD to replicate what Fedora do, which resolves these issues for me. Additional info: * package version: rabbitmq 3.7.15-1 (this also effects upstream 3.7.16, 3.7.17 and 3.8.0-rc.1) * config and/or log files etc. * This forum thread also contains this issue: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=243827 Steps to reproduce: * Install rabbitmq package * systemctl start rabbitmq.service (will fail with a non-specific error) * or: rabbitmq-plugins enable rabbitmq_management (will fail chown: invalid user: ‘@RABBITMQ_USER@:@RABBITMQ_GROUP@’) |
