Details

Atril does not appear to hard depend on Caja. If I am not mistaken, it only ships an extension (/usr/lib/caja/extensions-2.0/libatril-properties-page.so) and works fine without Caja.

Removing the dependency is useful for people running other DEs (XFCE in my case), since it will not bring in Caja and full-blown mate-desktop.

Engrampa ships

/usr/lib/caja/extensions-2.0/libcaja-engrampa.so

and uses

optdepends=('caja: Caja support')
