DetailsI finally figured out, why the openprinting driver I usually use for my Brother HL 2140 doesn't work on Arch Linux
foomatic still relies on hpijs. Yes, I know it's deprecated for quite some time. But it's still used by some third-party drivers. Adding --enable-hpijs-install to configure in the hplip PKGBUILD fixes my problem Additional info: * https://www.openprinting.org/printer/Brother/Brother-HL-2140 |

Additional comments about closing: Feel free to use a local custom build if you rely on the deprecated build option. Or better use some of the alternative drivers recommended in the link.
