Description:
I want to access a FTP server which is only available with IPv6.

This is embedded into some local network device. I tried several other FTP clients but for some reason only tnftp works.

After trying and digging around a bit, I found out that the "SOCKS5 proxy support" in the tnftp client actually rules out IPv6 support.

So passing --with-socks=no to configure fixes this.

Would be nice if this could be added.

If you want to provide both (SOCKS5 and IPv6), then maybe build twice and name the IPv6 version "tnftp6"?

I missed that you seem to explicitly build against "dante" to have SOCKS support.

Other distributions don't seem to do this:
https://packages.debian.org/buster/tnftp

So the package maintainer has to decide. SOCKS or IPv6. If you prefer SOCKS, please close this report. I would create an tnftp6 AUR package in this case.

This looks a bit old and stale. Is it still needed?
