Details

Description: Hello! I saw a bug about this reported for Firefox 67 but its severity was marked "low" and I'm on Firefox 68. When I open Firefox it shows the "new tab" screen fine, but the only URIs that work are the internal about: pages.

I'm on Mozilla Firefox 68.0.1 FWIW.

I have firefox 68.0.1 installed and can view webpages without issue. There's something else going on with your system that you'll need to troubleshoot. Check DNS and Proxy settings. Pay particular attention to DNSSEC configuration and DNS over HTTPS if you have it enabled. Try visiting a web server by IP address instead of by DNS name to confirm whether or not it might be a DNS issue.

Thanks Bryan. I've had this for a few days but it looks like it's suddenly cleared up? Firefox is now working as expected again and I'm very confused, but if it happens again I'll debug elsewhere.
