DetailsSome time in the past month or so, some package update caused fixed-width spacing to break in gedit in my xfce environment. This occurs 100% of the time in gedit with a font larger than Source Code Pro 10 (which is the default font). The specific font I am using and experiencing this issue with is Monospace Regular 12. Attached are screenshots demonstrating the issue and a small file with text to reproduce the issue.
