The newest Beryl just doesn't load the window manager anymore! No window manager is loaded at all, after the latest upgrade. I use ATi 9000 Mobility.

Additional comments about closing:  added beryl-plugins to heliodor's makedepends, so this shouldn't happen again.

beryl: decoration: property ignored because version is 0 and decoration plugin version is 20061011
No framebuffer_object support! (only simple Blur aviable).
No fragment_program support! (only simple Blur aviable).

The Emerald WM works, but Heliodor does NOT. Something is broken regarding Heliodor.

I have an idea, but no time to try it ATM. If you are curious, you could get the heliodor PKGBUILD and simply rebuild it (beryl-plugins and beryl-core have to be installed). I think it will work then.

I already did that yesterday, it works after re-compiling. But the point remains, Arch Linux should provide a fixed package.

I said I don't have time right now and I now know why heliodor broke, so there will of course be a fixed package.

yes, it's fixed now that you recompiled heliodor. Personally, I prefer heliodor, because it resembles clearlooks.
