Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  The problem is related to not enabling php-igbinary _and_ php-redis, when using redis + nextcloud.

Same here, I just came around to report this.

I've cranked up logging as much as I can and don't get anything useful at all. Using Apache...

Probably (but not certainly) related to this upstream report (somebody using Nginx, but with similar issues): https://github.com/nextcloud/server/issues/16378

Take that back, my problem is probably _not_ related to that.

I got my instance back online (albeit with somewhat degraded performance) by disabling the memcache/redis options in my config. Redis is online, I'm not sure what changed but it sure doesn't like something about that.

It looks like this "Bug" may be in the php-redis Arch Linux package, it seems the update that came through about the same time as the NC update disabled it by default. Un-comment in /etc/php/conf.d/redis.ini if you were using it. @schickel is this your issue too?

I sort it also out: disabled redis in config and nextcloud is reachable again.

So, what is to do, if we want use Redis?

@schickel You can enable Redis in Nextcloud but first you have to enable the module in PHP. Check your /etc/php/conf.d/redis.ini — I bet you have it commented out there.

modul is enabled, but with redis in nextcloud-config (the same config before upgrade and from documentation from nextcloud) i get again the same error.

but i found out, that with uncommented redis.ini (extension=redis), php-info does not list the redis-section. maybe php or apache have a problem

@schickel: php-redis also requires php-igbinary to be enabled.
