DetailsDescription:
logrotate service returns an error when hiawatha is not running. It can happen for example if logrotate.service starts before hiawatha.service at boot time. The postrotate /usr/bin/killall -HUP hiawatha returns an error because hiawatha is absent. Steps to reproduce: # systemctl stop hiawatha.service # logrotate -vf /etc/logrotate.d/hiawatha Fix: postrotate command to be replaced by /usr/bin/killall -HUP hiawatha || true proposed /etc/logrotate.d/hiawatha attached |
