Description: HPLIP is non functional upon install, lacking dependencies.

Additional info: There are apparently packages that should be installed when HPLIP is, yet are not. HPLIP setup fails to launch. This has been this way for some time now. If HPLIP actually started, then the issue became setup failures as PPD files did not seem to work upon selection.

/usr/bin/hp-doctor lists installed deps and optionals. Below is the important part of the command output.

error: python3-pyqt4 PyQt 4- Qt interface for Python (for Qt version 4.x) REQUIRED 4.0 MISSING 'python3-pyqt4 needs to be installed'yet the exact package does not exist but the equivalent package should definitively be a dependency.

* package version
hplip 1:3.19.6-1
* config and/or log files etc.
* link to upstream bug report, if any

Steps to reproduce: On a fresh install of archlinux as of 07/03/2019, using gnome with extras, install hplip and select the icon from the menu. No joy as the setup fails to load, which has led me to this report.

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  Read the package's optional dependencies, not what some random tool tells you

What's the output when you run hp-setup from a terminal?

error: No module named 'PyQt5.QtWidgets'
Apparently, the required package version works with the pyqt5 version.
