DetailsThe rc script for smbnetfs mounts as root. The smb servers that it can potentially connect to are not fixed as, say, a cifs mount in the fstab would only map to 1 ip address.
This is my enhanced rc script that uses sudo to run smbnetfs as the user nobody. Please ignore the small change I made to the HOME variable. Just a suggestion: it maybe better not to create /mnt/smbnetfs in the rc.script but instead in the PKGBUILD. This way cleanup is more thorough when uninstalling. |
