On a machine using KDE Plasma without the gnome-keyring package installed,
Trying to connect to any database by any means, gives the following error:
"Error looking up password
The name org.freedesktop.secrets was not provided by any .service files"
The workaround to uncomment the following line in /user/bin/mysql-workbench does not work:
WB_NO_GNOME_KEYRING=1
Neither does
export WB_NO_GNOME_KEYRING=1
Additional info:
* package version: 8.0.17-1
* link to upstream bug report: https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=91836
the point they are missing there is that WB_NO_GNOME_KEYRING environment variable workaround is also not working.
Steps to reproduce:
1.Use a system with KDE Plasma
2.Do not install gnome-keyring
3.Uncomment "WB_NO_GNOME_KEYRING=1" in /user/bin/mysql-workbench
4.Open MySQL Workbench and try to connect to any database.
