For a few months now we have a new mirror added to our list of public mirrors. Currently this new mirror is not able to sync archlinux packages due to acl issues

@ERROR: access denied to ftp_tier1 from (
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1666) [Receiver=3.1.2]

This is a friendly request to allow our mirror to sync from your upstream so we are able to offer archlinux to our customers and the public in Miami

Mirror domain name:

Geographical location of the mirror (country):

URLs for supported access methods (http(s), rsync) (no ftp)

Your mirror's available bandwidth:

An administrative contact email (optional, see below)

An alternative administrative contact email (optional)

(tier 1 mirrors) Rsync IPs so your server(s) can be allowed to sync off tier 0 (

(tier 2 mirrors) The name of tier 1 mirror you are syncing from. You can find available tier 1 mirrors here

Thanks for the information. I've added the IP and the new URLs and you should be able to sync now. Given that you say this exists for a few months already: Have you requested addition of the URLs and the IP previously? I can't find a previous request, but I'm very sorry if I should have somehow missed one and I'd like to make sure it won't happen again if possible. If you didn't create a request before, please know that we don't monitor public/third-party mirror lists and instead rely on the admins requesting changes to our list. If it helps, you can also request changes by sending a mail to

One more thing: When I open the link you provided, the information page says that the mirror has a 10G uplink. Given that this is in line with all your other mirrors, did you make a typo with the 1Gbps in this request?

Hi Florian Pritz,

Thanks for the quick response.

1: I can verify that we have successfully synced from
2: We did not make a request to you earlier. So no worries. We provisioned this mirror some time ago and are now finalising it :)
3: Next time we will correspond via that is much easier.
4: This was a typo on my part. Our Miami mirror is indeed 10Gbps.

Thanks again.
