Python 2 is going EOL soon(tm) and the project is Python2+3 compatible. On the master branch they even discussed/merged a Python3-only plan [1] [1] https://bugs.chromium.org/p/gerrit/issues/detail?id=10418 Disclaimer: in my casual usage of repo+Python3 I have not seen any issues. |

According to https://gerrit.googlesource.com/git-repo/+blame/refs/heads/stable/repo#141 repo is supported on python3 for six years already.
