My theory: Pacman tries to download package 3 times, on failure it puts that message. This happens randomly, usually when a package is being upgraded on the server and the package list hasn't been refreshed yet or when it fails to resolve 3 different servers. I don't know steps to reproduce. |

Additional comments about closing: This is the classic antesis bug. It's fixed in pacman3, and the antesis mirror is removed from the mirror list anyway.
