I noticed a lot of the colour correction filters were missing in my Arch kdenlive install which were present on other platforms. It turns out it was because frei0r-plugins wasn't installed. I was surprised to find this isn't a dependency or even an optional dependency for Arch's kdenlive package. It seems like it should be. Significant functionality is confusingly missing without it.
