DetailsI installed fyre-1.0.0-2 from the extra repository (using 'pacman -S fyre' of course). However, fyre would not start, it instead complained about missing the shared library "libIlmImf.so.2", and when I symlinked another version of that lib to that name (a bad practice I know) it then complained about missing the shared library "libImath.so.2", at which point I decided to download the PKGBUILD from cvs and make the package myself. The configure step must have found the appropriate libraries, since after installing the package I built myself from the PKGBUILD there were no problems.
Summary - fyre needs a rebuild because of library name problems |
