Description:
After upgrading to the latest version of atom, the application hung on startup without displaying the main window.

I upgraded its dependencies one by one, upgrading electron to the latest version (4.1.1-2) solved the problem. My suggestion is to add a minimum version of electron to the PKGBUILD.

Additional info:
* package version(s): 1.36.0-1

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install older version of electron (3.1.6-1)
2. Upgrade to latest version of atom
3. Run atom.
