When right clicking a file in file managers like Nautilus and selecting "open with", Qt Designer is not on the list of applications.

This is because its launcher, designer.desktop, does not indicate that the app can be run on a file.

Modifying the exec line in designer.desktop from

Exec=designer %F

fixes the problem.

linguist also looks like it can take a file as an argument, and it is also missing the %F, so presumably the same issue applies to it, though I don't use it so I'm not sure if it matters.
