The desktop file provided by the firefox package ('/usr/share/applications/firefox.desktop') uses the full path of the executable ('Exec=/usr/lib/firefox/firefox'). I would like to make a wrapper script, which is allowed in other applications' desktop files, however I cannot without editing the desktop file. Using 'Exec=firefox' allows for this and does not sacrifice any compatibility/functionality. Additional info: * package version(s) 66.0.2-1 * config and/or log files etc. * link to upstream bug report, if any Steps to reproduce: Create a script named "firefox" in one of the directories located in "$PATH", execute firefox via the desktop entry, observe the desired script not get executed. |
