DetailsThere have been repeated rumors that Deepin Desktop is collecting and sending data. Although this has never been proven and also officially been denied by Deepin, in my eyes the concept of deepin-anything and its imperative installation with Deepin Desktop adds to this less than ideal image.
Afaik the only purpose of this kernel-module is to enhance speed of file searches, at least that's what I gather from the README (google translate attached). Now I must say that I am not at all happy with my system being completely searched and indexed like that and I would definitely want an option to deactivate this feature. My understanding is further that no other parts of the Deepin environment actually need the module to work. So I would like to request to make the installation optional. |

The kernel module source code is rather short, you can audit it yourself in its entirety in under 10 minutes.
