Description:
Eduroam is a WiFi network used at many universities in Europe with WPA2 Enterprise authentication and encryption. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduroam I use networkmanager to manage my networks and network-manager-applet to have a graphical UI in Cinnamon. Usually, when I enable my WiFis and networkmanager detects the eduroam network, it prompts me to enter my password (see what-it-should-look-like.png). I have configured networkmanager to not save my password and ask me every time I connect (see eduroam-settings.png). However, since network-manager-applet 1.8.21dev+3+gb4c365b1-1 the prompt does no longer offer a possibility to enter my password (see what-it-does-look-like.png). When I click on connect ("Verbinden"), the connection fails. The problem disappears after a downgrade to network-manager-applet 1.8.19dev+21+geebf7f95-1. Eduroam is the only WPA2 Enterprise network that I use. I can therefore not say whether this applies to other such WiFis, as well. Additional info: * package version(s) network-manager-applet 1.8.21dev+3+gb4c365b1-1 Steps to reproduce: - update your Arch Linux system - configure your eduroam / WPA2 Enterprise network to ask for the password every time - try connect to eduroam. |

Is this issue still valid for you?
I did not try to connect to eduroam in the last months, nor do I
have an eduroam wifi nearby, currently. So I don't know whether
this still applies to current Arch systems.
