Description:

After entering password you should see grey background and then after some moments appears shell with zooming animation. But in my case after entering password I see grey background only on one of my monitors (I have two) and it has wrong size (centered grey square). After a moment shell appears. It is interesting that if I try create new user it works as should be.

Steps to reproduce:

Can't be reproduced with new user.

I also experience the effect you describe but already for quite some time now. Therefore, I don't think it's a bug in gnome 3.32. It has never bothered me enough to debug it but it could be caused by a different monitor setup for gdm (/var/lib/gdm/.config/monitors.xml) and your user (~/.config/monitors.xml).

Thanks for answer. I have not "monitors.xml" in /var/lib/gdm/.config/

After unplagged second monitor animation works ok.
But now I can't join displays. Maybe something wrong with gnome-control-center.
Gif explains better.
