The upstream version of iscan has not yet implemented 16bpc scanning. See lines 558-559,572 in backend/dip-obj.c in the source. Additional info: * package version(s): iscan-2.30.3.1-2 (probably all versions) * config and/or log files etc.: https://gitlab.com/snippets/1832781 Steps to reproduce: $ SANE_DEBUG_EPKOWA=HEX scanimage --verbose --format=pnm --source='Transparency Unit' --depth=16 > test16bpc.pnm Proposed patch: https://github.com/hean01/iscan/tree/master is a working patched fork. I took the liberty to format a patch for this version. The patch is attached. |

Reason for closing: Won't fix
Additional comments about closing: iscan was removed from the repositories for a lot of incompatibilities with glibc and for a weird releases schema (newer versions are specific only for some models)
