Description:

After a recently TeX Live update the latex package "exsheets" fails on the compiling process with the error "ERROR: LaTeX3 Error: Variant form 'n' deprecated for base form".
This error is also described on the home repository of this latex package (https://bitbucket.org/cgnieder/exsheets/issues/44/error-latex3-error-variant-form-n). You can reproduce this problem with the file "grading-table.tex" from the package source or the attachment. On the same site there is also a solution for this problem. I have created the patch file "texlive-latexextra-exsheets.diff" which contains this solution.

Additional info:
* package version: 2018.50031-1

Steps to reproduce:

pdflatex grading-table.tex

Upstream bug still unfixed in TexLive 2019 pretest.
TeXLive instructions are to report directly to the package maintainer, which is already done at
https://bitbucket.org/cgnieder/exsheets/issues/44/error-latex3-error-variant-form-n

Upstream says exsheets is no longer maintained and is superseded by "xsim" package.

So "won't fix" or close "upstream"?

This was finally resolved.
Package texlive-latexextra 2020.54584-1 does not have the issue.
