Details

Description:
After updating system (to pambase-20190105.1-1-any.pkg.tar.xz from pambase-20171006-1-any.pkg.tar.xz):
"E: PAM error: Authentication failure"
for both root ans user.

I changed:
Theres a file already /etc/pam.d/schroot:
[code]auth required pam_wheel.so group=users[/code]

I changed to above, but it still doesnt works!

The only solution to run schroot is ti downgrade to pambase-20171006-1-any.pkg.tar.xz

Additional info:

updated system
* config and/or log files etc.

Can you test if /etc/pam.d/schroot needs either or both account and session entries as well as auth e.g.
account required pam_unix.so
session required pam_unix.so

With only: account required pam_unix.so:
E: PAM error: Cannot make/remove an entry for the specified session

With only: session required pam_unix.so
E: PAM error: Authentication failure

It works also with only both only, also.

But sound is not accessible via pulseauido.
