Description:
Since we have a well-maintained working aarch64 toolchain in extra, it would be really nice to have the equivalent armv7 toolchain (to support the raspberry pi, asus tinkerboard, odroid boards, and lots of android targets). I've prototyped the gcc, glibc, binutils, and openblas packages in the AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc-openmp/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/arm-linux-gnueabihf-binutils-working/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/arm-linux-gnueabihf-glibc-working/ https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/arm-linux-gnueabihf-openblas-lapack-openmp/ These are in lockstep with the aarch64 and the x86_64 toolchain in terms of version numbers, patchlevels, and so on. It would be really neat to get official packages for these, because there are some ancient abandoned PKGBUILDs floating around on the AUR for some of them, and the user experience is a bit awful. |
