Description:

the recent update in Numpy to 1.16 leads to a problem with PyTables

As of now, the only possibility to fix this issue is to downgrade numpy back to 1.15/

Maybe it should be announced somewhere, as it breaks a lot of existing code.

Additional comments about closing:  pytables has been upgraded multiple times since then, hence fixing the issue.

pytables needs 2 commits from master to fix compatibility with numpy 1.16. I suggest to patch pytables instead.
