DetailsWith the advent of PHP5, the tidy extension to PHP was completely rewritten. It is no longer possible to install the extension via PEAR/PECL, at least not the version that PHP5 comes with. The PECL repository has Tidy 1.2, but the current version is 2.0. Please compile php with "--enable-tidy" and add makedepends on "tidyhtml" (unpacked size: ~800kb), and add ";extension=tidy.so" to the list of modules in php.ini.
There simply is no other way to get Tidy 2.0, which is one of the most useful php extensions around, imho. |
