Why is nano in base? That seems like a completely arbitrary decision, like if somebody put 0ad to base.

Base is supposed to be the group that everybody has to have installed to be supported [0] [1], and nano is not only unnecessary for a base install, but also I do not want it in my desktop install, as nano is possibly the worst possible text editor in existence, worse than editing in Notepad or MS Word.

Reason for closing:  Not a bug
Additional comments about closing:  Opening a bug report about a wide-reaching policy change and complete recreation of the concept of base as a group or a meta-package, is the WRONG way to attempt to restart an intensely annoying bikeshed discussion.
