DetailsI just did pacman -Syu on my ArchLinux 0.7.2, which now is 0.8.
Calling XkbGetKeyboard() returns NULL instead of XKB's current keyboard information. I think xorg-server version is 1.1.1-5 was supposed to have this fixed, as it includes a patch named xorg-x11-server-1.1.1-revert-xkb-change.patch. The mentioned patch is supposed to fix unability to switch back to a VT with CTRL+ALT+Fn (which I can't now), so my guess is that there is some kind of problem with the patch. This is tested on an IBM Thinkpad T42. To test, use any program that displays keyboard layouts (like xkbprint or gnome-keyboard-preferences). |
This task depends upon
I changed:
Option "XkbGeometry" "ibm_vndr/thinkpad(intl)"
to:
Option "XkbGeometry" "thinkpad(intl)"
Looks like the file was moved recently. CTRL+ALT+Fn, XkbGetKeyboard() and others are now working on this laptop.
Please close. Thank you.
