Detailswesnoth bakes the last git revision into the version number. In the case of Archlinux, it uses the Git revision number of the PKGBUILD.
For such cases, this option exists: -DENABLE_DISPLAY_REVISION=OFF (scons equivalent is autorevision=False, from 1.14.6 on) |

What do you mean by "the Git revision number of the PKGBUILD" -- especially consider that the PKGBUILD is tracked in svn and should therefore if anything display an svn revision.
