DetailsDescription:
There is a serious performance regression in virtualbox-6.0.0-1. Downgrading to virtualbox-5.2.20-1 fixes the issue. Additional info: virtualbox-6.0.0-1 virtualbox-host-dkms-6.0.0-1 Steps to reproduce: 1. Start a VirtualBox VM. 2. (Hopefully) experience the slowness. Correction: virtualbox-5.2.20-1 -> virtualbox-5.2.22-1

Probably an upstream issue? https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=90824&p=436248&hilit=slow#p436248

Same problem here but only with ubuntu 18.04 guest. With debian 9 guest, everything seems fine.

Is this still an issue with 6.0.6? They supposedly fixed a lot of issues with the newer versions.

I can confirm it's still an issue on 6.0.6. I've seen the behavior ever since upgrading to v6. I'm seeing random slowness on my Windows 7 VM. The VM will power on and be performant, but will eventually and randomly decide to slow down. Minimizing windows, opening documents, are slow. Only way I can get it to speed up again is to shut the VM down and power it back on.
