DetailsDescription:
Not a bug but a hint which might help in building 6.0 with Qt 5.12 To prevent QT 5.12 complains about setuid bit do the following: Append to LocalConfig.kmk: VBOX_GUI_WITH_SHARED_LIBRARY = 1 And change PKGBUILD: ## setuid root binaries install -m4755 VBoxSDL VirtualBoxVM VBoxHeadless VBoxNetDHCP VBoxNetAdpCtl VBoxNetNAT -t "$pkgdir/usr/lib/virtualbox" ## other binaries install -m755 VirtualBox VBoxManage VBoxSVC VBoxExtPackHelperApp VBoxXPCOMIPCD VBoxTestOGL VBoxBalloonCtrl vboxwebsrv webtest -t "$pkgdir/usr/lib/virtualbox" So the VitualBox GUI can be installed without setuid but the actual VM running service (VirtualBoxVM) can still be setuid. This should make 6.0 work on arch. Just in case someone got a headache like me trying to build that one. |
