Description:
I run Arch on a Linode VM (they use KVM). My system uptime stopped resetting to zero on reboot. uptime now reports ~152 days and counting in spite of having just rebooted. Additional info: uname -a : Linux --- 4.19.9-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 14 00:58:26 UTC 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux last reboot : reboot system boot 4.19.9-arch1-1-A Tue Dec 18 12:40 still running uptime : 12:57:06 up 152 days, 18:55, 1 user, load average: 0.09, 0.15, 0.10 Steps to reproduce: I have no idea... I'm given the impression by documentation that uptime sources this timestamp from the /proc kernel interface into kernel counters which should reset on every reboot. I run a xen server at home with VMs of the same basic configuration which does not have this issue. |

Unclear what you expect Arch to do about this. This is on Linode
to fix.
