a could of issues i noticed with this package today

the license declared in the PKGBUILD (GPL) does not correspond to the upstream website (BSD-3clause)

http://w1.fi/cgit/hostap/plain/wpa_supplicant/README

also, (minor detail) the URL in the PKGBUILD (http://hostap.epitest.fi/wpa_supplicant) actually redirects to a different domain (http://w1.fi/wpa_supplicant/) which matches that of the source URL (https://w1.fi/releases/${pkgname}-${pkgver}.tar.gz)

just to note, i did not receive an email for the "Comment by Buggy McBugFace"
last month - i would have responded - i noticed it now, because i got an email
for the "Comment by Toolybird"

maybe that was only a fluke?

if not, then the bump by "Buggy McBugFace", though a _great_ idea, is quite
useless really, if it does not trigger email notifications - i would not expect
anyone to still be watching (manually) a 5 years old ticket (or even to
remember opening it) - so i would expect no one to respond in most cases, even
if the bug is still present
