Description:
"VLC is unable to open the MRL v4l2:///dev/video0" when trying to open the webcam on two different computers. I ultimately found out that the v4l2 module tries unsuccessfully to open libzvbi.so. Installing extra/zvbi fixes this. zvbi is listed in the optional dependencies, the description being "VBI/Teletext decoding". So I humbly suggest also mentioning webcam/v4l2 support in there. Steps to reproduce: Install vlc, but don't install zvbi and try opening your webcam. |
