Description: Again, Linux 4.19.8, which it supposed to solve
the issue with the networking drivers (r8169), applied on
Linux 4.19.7, still fails sometimes.
Additional info: * package version(s) Linux 4.19.8 * config and/or log files etc. Example when the networking starts working (Linux 4.19.8): [ 2.047371] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: renamed from eth0 [ 2.562520] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 2.691421] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 5.608366] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off [ 5.608378] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): enp3s0: link becomes ready Example when the networking starts working but i suspend and restore the system and the networking be becomes disabled (Linux 4.19.8): [ 2.055452] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: renamed from eth0 [ 2.607507] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 2.734886] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 5.597521] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off [ 5.597528] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): enp3s0: link becomes ready [ 147.680889] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: Link is Down [ 147.902398] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 148.040553] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready Example when the networking starts disabled (Linux 4.19.8): [ 2.003255] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: renamed from eth0 [ 2.614280] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 2.741405] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): enp3s0: link is not ready [ 5.676023] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: Link is Up - 1Gbps/Full - flow control off [ 5.676036] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_CHANGE): enp3s0: link becomes ready [ 6.382786] r8169 0000:03:00.0 enp3s0: Link is Down Steps to reproduce: - Start the system normally. - Wait and see when everything is loaded, to the network manager icon at the systray, if there's an advice or not, or look at the router, to the pertinent light and see if after the initial Linux load, if the light is turned off or turned on, that is valid too |
