Detailspacman3 refused to do anything with the -S option as non-root user, where pacman2 worked fine:
[jan@server gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg]$ checkpkg looking for inter-conflicts... done. error: failed to commit transaction (insufficient privileges) Couldn't download previous package. Offended line in checkpkg: pacman3 -Spd --noconfirm $pkgname pacman 2.x used to allow pacman -Spd to print the URL of the package it would download as normal user. |
This task depends upon
The main issue is that -Sp requests "read-only" permissions from libalpm, yet the "transaction commit" expects "read-write" permissions, so it fails.
I will test later on
