DetailsSolidity have released their latest binary that is pacakged here as a pre-release version, see my report here: https://github.com/ethereum/solidity/issues/5519
The current solidity version appears to be a pre-release compiled version, see the output of solc --version: solc --version solc, the solidity compiler commandline interface Version: 0.5.0+commit.1d4f565a.Linux.g++ It looks like it was compiled before the commit was tagged. |

I meant to add that is this is problem because it solc also refuses to compile anything with a pragma directive since it treats this 'nightly' as newer than any version... because, blockchain?
