Description:

Currently some useful features like the "font ligatures" cannot be enabled with default jre and must be used with jetbrains runtime. https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/goland/ supports an optional approach, https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/goland-jre/ can be used if installed. Don' t know if it' s possible to enable this also for pycharm.

Additional comments about closing:  It's already possible, set PYCHARM_JDK which is used internally by the upstream launcher script.
