I think that this is related to amdgpu.
I had the same issue on Lenovo V110-15AST and mine also uses the amdgpu module.

I have managed to "fix" the issue by disabling the amdgpu.dc by adding amdgpu.dc=0 to the boot flag.

So did you figure out any downsides to disabling amdgpu.dc

Just loss of atomic mode-setting and HDMI/DP audio.

Does the workaround work?

Haven't tried it, right now on 4.18.6, since trackpad does not work on the lts version. 4.18.6 is the most stable for me right now. Right finishing up work, so will try later.

Tried the 4.19.4, same problem persists. Did not try to disable amdgpu.dc since i need audio over hdmi. Again at this time 4.18.16 is the most stable for me. In my previous comment i meant 4.18.16 not 4.18.6 just fyi.

I don't know if this information will help, but if I use the 4.19.6 kernel in fedora I still get the same problem.

And yes I am using Mesa drivers on fedora too.

Btw, I tried the fix, it did not work. Unfortunately.
