Details

Updating pypanel to 2.4-10 makes pypanel not read the "FONT" configuration in pypanelrc. Downgrading to 2.4-9 fixes the issue.

From setup.py when /usr/bin/freetype-config is not found support is not built in.
Edit:
Switched to including setup.py as an attachment to preserve formatting.

Upstream bug in an abandoned application last released thirteen and a half years ago. I wonder how many people use this.

Thank you for reporting this bug, i downgraded to 2.4.9, ttf fonts are ok.
