Hi, I am a cinelerra tester.
You can't run the current Cinelerra-CV with external ffmpeg.
At the moment, Cinelerra-CV can be built only with internal ffmpeg.
'--with-external-ffmpeg' is currently unsupported.
CinCV does not support any tweaks for external_ffmpeg that were created by maintainers.

If --with-external-ffmpeg is not supported, it should be removed.

Given the fact, that rebuilding cinelerra-cv against upgraded versions of ffmpeg is always super painful, I think the time has come to move it to the AUR and put cinelerra-gg in its place.
I'll have a look into it

cinelerra-gg is sadly equally painful to build and will only enter [community], once its build system was fixed to allow sane non-static builds.
