I installed bitlbee from extra and configured it how the wiki discribed it. But the problem was, that bitlbee couldn't save its configuration. I had to make "chmod 775 /var/lib/bitlbee". Finally than it worked... But aren't this too much rights for bitlbee??? |

Take a look at make sure the bitlbee user and group were created properly, the UID and GID should both be 65.
I think it should be 770, so we can add an user into the bitlbee group
and let him to write in /var/lib/bitlbee .
