The profile.d snippet adds the default java bin dir to PATH. What do you have set as default, what shell, and have you logged out and back in since installing/setting the default?

I am using ZSH and /usr/lib/jvm/default/bin is on the path. That explains why jshell is not on the path since openjdk8 is my default.
