pycharm.sh, the file used to launch PyCharm sets a hard coded environment variable for the java runtime (PYCHARM_JDK="/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk/"), but requires java-runtime=8. Startup without jdk8-openjdk installed failes with the error message: "No JDK found. Please validate either PYCHARM_JDK, JDK_HOME or JAVA_HOME environment variable points to valid JDK installation." package version: 2018.2.4-1 Steps to reproduce: * uninstall jdk8-openjdk if installed * install pycharm-community-edition * run pycharm |
